I would argue that pulling out too soon completely undermined the Gov't we put in there..
No-one was saying stay there for decades but stay long enough to finish the job... Help the Iraqi's build their military, train them, help rebuild their infra structure, develop our intelligence agencies on the ground, etc:

You then completely undermine the government installed there, put the lives of your troops at risk and remain committed to keeping tens of thousands more troops there for another decade or more with the according costs likely to run into the hundreds of billions if not trillions.

If Sanders is elected he will face a very hostile Congress that will block everything he does.
Few people realise that the Constitution does not really allow the President to make decisions on domestic policy; foreign policy is another matter but at home he needs Congressional approval for just about everything.
The Constitution was specifically designed to prevent a rogue President like Sanders from wrecking the country,which he would surely do if he had any power.
